Auto/Steel Partnership presents 2019 awards

Auto/Steel Partnership, Southfield, Mich., has announced the 25 winners of its Award of Excellence for 2019. The award recognizes steel producers and automakers that demonstrate innovation through collaboration.

Award selections were based on A/SP project work conducted in 2018 and voted on by the partnership’s Joint Policy Council. Criteria included demonstrating the technical expertise necessary to execute or significantly contribute to project results with excellence and on time.

The partnership announced the following winners:

• Individual - Adam Kotlarek, General Motors Co.; Yu-Wei Wang, AK Steel Corp.; and D.J. Zhou, FCA US LLC
• Most Valuable Player - Mai Huang, ArcelorMittal; Dean Kanelos, Nucor Corp.; and Michael Karagoulis, General Motors Co.
