Boyd Metals plans $9 million expansion in Missouri

Boyd Metals has announced plans to expand in Joplin, Mo., investing more than $9 million and creating 12 jobs. The company is expanding its existing 60,000-sq.-ft. facility to more than 100,000 sq. ft. to increase efficiency and distribution across its Midwestern network.

Based in Fort Smith, Ark., the company offers products of carbon steel, aluminum, and stainless steel that can be tailored in shape and size to meet customer needs. It also provides in-house, value-added processing that includes custom laser cutting, sawing, shearing, bar polishing, and sheet bending.
