Braidy Industries expands executive team

Braidy Industries Inc., a manufacturer of aluminum sheet and ultrahigh-strength and lightweight alloys for the mass transportation and defense industries, has announced that three new executives have joined the company’s initiative to build an aluminum rolling mill in Ashland, Ky.

Shane Schuler has been named aluminum sheet finishing manager. He worked for Alcoa/Arconic from 1988 until 2018, most recently as lead area manager – sheet finishing.

Kris Derscha has joined the firm as automotive/aerospace quality systems manager. She most recently worked for Arconic as lead quality systems engineer.

< p>Miriam Shealy has been hired as vice president of accounting. She has 30 years of experience in corporate finance, control systems, organizational leadership, process improvements, accounting, and financial reporting, working most recently at the University of Maryland University College Europe.
