Construction Specialties acquires Platform Mfg. Group

Specialty building products manufacturer Construction Specialties Inc. (CS), Lebanon, N.J., has acquired Platform Mfg. Group LLC, a steel fabrication company based in Melissa, Texas.

Platform’s product portfolio includes balconies, bridges, and patented modular stair systems. While working closely with the engineering community, CS identified a gap within the evolving seismic market—stairs that remain intact while accommodating building drift. The combination of CS’s seismic expertise and Platform’s modular stairs is resulting in a soon-to-be-announced system to address this challenge.
