Imperial Manufacturing Group acquires Norbel Metal Service

Imperial Manufacturing Group, Richibucto, N.B., has purchased Norbel Metal Service Inc., which becomes part of Imperial’s Pointe-Claire Steel company. Norbel Metal will continue to operate at its Etobicoke, Ont., facility, which has three slitters, four cut-to-length lines, and 12 shears.

Pointe-Claire Steel is a processor and distributor of flat steel products with facilities in Bolton, Ont., and Pointe-Claire, Que. The company processes mainly low- and high-carbon, hot- and cold-rolled, galvanized, galvannealed, and aluminized steels in various thicknesses and grades. The addition of Norbel Metal expands its slitting and blanking capabilities and adds 125,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing and warehouse space.
