Kenwal Steel names CFO

Laura Kowalchik

Dearborn, Mich.-based Kenwal Steel Corp., a flat-rolled steel service center, has named Laura Kowalchik as CFO. She succeeds Frank Jerneycic, who retires from the company at the end of 2018 after 10 years of service.

Kowalchik previously served as CFO of Urban Science and as vice president, corporate controller, and chief accounting officer of Kaydon Corp. and Dura Automotive Systems LLC. She has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Richmond's Robins School of Business and an MBA in finance from Indiana University South Bend.
