Longtime Chemcoaters director retires

Chemcoaters, a supplier of green coil coatings and traditional prepaint and protective coil coatings in Gary, Ind., has announced the retirement of Bill Krippes, director of new product development, after 16 years of service.

Krippes has been in the coil and mill-applied coating industry for more than 46 years, serving in R&D, technical service, and sales roles. He started his career developing products for JM Eltzroth before moving on to spend more than a decade at PPG, with a specialty in dry film lubricants and mill-applied zinc phosphates. He joined Chemcoaters in 2001.

After retiring, Krippes will continue to serve as a new business development consultant for the company.
