Norfolk Iron & Metal installing temper mill cut-to-length line

Metal service center Norfolk Iron & Metal has announced it is installing a Butech Bliss temper mill cut-to-length line at its Port of Catoosa, Okla., processing facility.

The four-high temper mill line elongates, levels, and shears steel up to 5/8-in. Grade 50 and 1/2-in. Grade 100. The line can process thicknesses from 0.060 to 0.625 in., widths from 36 to 96 in., and lengths up to 720 in.

Installation began in 2023, and the line will be fully operational by Q3 2024. Upon implementation of the new line, the facility will have two comprehensive processing lines, a waterjet, and new laser cutting technology that also can process up to 720-in. material.
