Nucor announces change to executive VP of raw materials

Charlotte, N.C.-based steel products manufacturer Nucor Corp. has announced that Executive Vice President of Raw Materials James R. Darsey will retire in June 2018 after more than 39 years of service with the company.

Darsey began his career with Nucor in 1979 as design engineer at Vulcraft-Texas. Within various divisions and locations of the company, he has served as engineering manager, general manager, vice president, executive vice president, and president.

Craig A. Feldman will be promoted to succeed Darsey in this position. He began his career as a brokerage representative for The David J. Joseph Company (DJJ). After serving in various roles with the company, he was promoted to president in 2013 and became a vice president and general manager of Nucor Corp. when it acquired DJJ in 2008. Upon his promotion to executive vice president, Feldman will retain his role as president of DJJ.
