Sandmeyer Steel announces retirement of executive VP

Philadelphia-based Sandmeyer Steel Co., a supplier of stainless steel, nickel alloy, and titanium plate products, has announced the retirement of Executive Vice President Rodney C. Sandmeyer, effective March 31, 2023, after 38 years with the company.

After graduating from the University of North Carolina, Sandmeyer worked for Merrill Lynch for six years, achieving the title of assistant vice president. He joined the family-owned and -managed company in 1985, initially serving in the role of manager – inside sales. He subsequently transitioned to the operations side of the business, serving as vice president – operations and then executive vice president.

Sandmeyer will remain active on the company’s board after retirement.
