Sandvik receives $85.5 million contract for stainless steel tubes

Sweden-based Sandvik has signed a contract for the supply of stainless steel tubes required for 155 miles of umbilicals. The contract value is approximately $85.5 million, and deliveries will take place from the end of 2017 through the first half of 2018.

Umbilical systems are connections used to transport energy, data, and liquids between oil and gas installations on the seafloor to offshore facilities or platforms.
