Steel Dynamics to acquire majority of United Steel Supply

Steel producer and metals recycler Steel Dynamics Inc., Fort Wayne, Ind., has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire 75 percent of the equity interest of United Steel Supply LLC (USS), an Austin, Texas-based distributor of Galvalume® flat-roll steel to the roofing and siding industry.

Current USS owners Bret Curtis and Will Waldrip continue to lead the company in their current capacities as president and vice president, respectively. Steel Dynamics has an option to purchase the remaining 25 percent equity interest of USS in the future.
