thyssenkrupp Materials Services to open logistics center in Germany

thyssenkrupp Schulte, a company of thyssenkrupp Materials Services that offers carbon steel, stainless steel, and nonferrous flat products, sections, and tubes, has announced plans to build a logistics center on a nearly 1.1 million sq.-ft. industrial site in Rotenburg/Wümme (Lower Saxony), Germany. The $69.5 million facility will include up to 538,000 sq. ft. of storage space.

Scheduled to go into operation in 2021, the plant will have the capacity to store more than 19,800 tons of materials. The company’s existing warehouses in Hamburg and Bremen, Germany, will be integrated into the new site so that all articles are offered from one location.
