Beckwood to supply high-speed punching press to Dahlstrom

Beckwood Press Co., St. Louis, has been awarded a contract by Dahlstrom Roll Form, a supplier of roll formed equipment components in Jamestown, N.Y., to design and manufacture a 75-ton, high-speed punching press.

With a 30- by 50-in. forming area and a custom-designed hydraulic circuit, the press can punch aluminum and steel sheet material up to 60 times per minute. Programmable fixed stops limit ram retraction and eliminate overshoot, while a through-hole in the bed expedites scrap removal and increases throughput.
