Almetals announces staff additions

Tim Alexander

Almetals Inc., Wixom, Mich., a metal slitter and processor for the stamping, roll forming, automotive, appliance, HVAC, and solar industries, has announced the addition of three new staff members.

Tim Alexander has been named regional sales manager for the Southeast region. He is responsible for the sales management and growth of the company’s coil and sheet metal products. Alexander served in multiple technical and sales management roles at Kaiser Aluminum, Alcan Inc., and CTC Global.

Julie St. John has been appointed to the position of inside sales and marketing coordinator. She holds a degree in marketing from the University of Michigan Dearborn.

Darrell Standberry Jr. has been named to the production team. He has a bachelor’s degree in music from the University of Central Florida. In this position, Standberry assists on the slitters and in the packaging department and leads shipping and receiving.

The company’s coil products include aluminum, brass and copper, cold-rolled steel, fin stock, and coated and stainless steels.
