Bradbury expands Kansas facilities

Bradbury is expanding in Moundridge, Kan.

At its Moundridge, Kan., headquarters, Bradbury, a provider of leveling, cutoff, punch, folding, and roll forming machines and automated systems, has added space to its assembly and testing area as well as its inventory area.

“Last year, we began an exciting journey at our plant 2 facility,” said Matt Werner, senior manager of global marketing and sales. “We finished a project that allowed us to extend the three center bays by 150 ft. to the north. This resulted in an additional 22,500 sq. ft. of assembly and test floor space.

“Realizing the need for even more room, we made the decision to add on to both the east and west bays of plant 2, matching the latest expansion and providing us with an extra 15,000 sq. ft.,” he continued.

Standing 10 ft. taller than the existing building, the expansion increases vertical storage space. With 16-ft. speed racks, there now is ample space to accommodate an expanded inventory of supplies on the east side. The West side addition will provide the assembly and test department with another 7,500 sq. ft. to build customer machines and conduct tests.

“To further enhance efficiency, we will also install a 20-ton overhead crane that offers an additional 10 ft. of crane height for assembly and test purposes,” Werner said.
