Kion North America receives annual safety award from S.C. Manufacturers Alliance

Industrial truck manufacturer Kion North America, Summerville, S.C., has been recognized by the South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance (SCMA) for outstanding workplace safety accomplishments during 2016.

The award is based on the total recordable cases rate, a statistic tracked by OSHA. Kion North America's rate was better than the industry average for companies in the same classification. To date, the company has worked more than 57,600 hours since its last incident.
