Kitagawa NorthTech receives safety certificate from NTMA

Kitagawa NorthTech Inc., Schaumburg, Ill., a manufacturer of standard and advanced chucks and custom workholding products, has been awarded a certificate of safety from the National Tooling & Machining Association (NTMA) for its outstanding safety performance record in 2017.

The NTMA’s Annual Safety Award Survey is based on the OSHA Form 300A that federal law requires companies with more than 10 employees to complete and post visibly in their plant Feb. 1 through April 30 of the year following the year covered by the form. The survey helps NTMA determine winners of the award and provides composite data that the association can use to represent the member with OSHA and other regulatory agencies.

A company’s eligibility to receive this award is determined by a calculation using the number of injuries versus the total number of labor hours worked in that calendar year.
