Wire Association Intl. chapter adds plant tour, safety seminar to annual golf outing

The Ohio Valley Chapter (OVC) of the Wire Association Intl. has added a plant tour and safety seminar to its annual golf outing, to be held Oct. 18 at The Madison Club in Yukon, Pa. Because of the parallel nature of the wire and tube drawing industries, the chapter is opening the event to members of the tube industry.

The plant tour will take place at the General Carbide Co. in Greensburg, Pa., from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. It will highlight how the centerpiece for carbide draw tooling is pressed, shaped, and sintered.
