Hudson Tool Steel adds NC plate band saw to California facility

Hudson Tool Steel Corp. has installed an Amada VM3800 plate saw in its Anaheim, Calif., facility. This is the seventh new Amada saw purchased by Hudson over the past 10 months for its three processing and distribution facilities.

The NC plate saw can cut material up to 150 in. long by 24 in. wide. With a workload capacity of 26,450 lbs., it allows material to be stacked for further efficiency.

The company, which has facilities in California, North Carolina, and New Hampshire, delivers material cut-to-order, on-size or oversize, including precision-ground flat stock, standard flat or round bar stock, and drill rod. The firm stocks all standard grades and sizes of tool steel, as well as high-speed steel and specialty grades.
