Calstrip Industries to add multiblanker at Arkansas facility

Calstrip Industries, a flat-rolled coil and sheet distributor and processor based in Mira Loma, Calif., has placed an order for a Braner/Loopco Hi-Performance flying shear multiblanker system from Braner USA Inc. for installation at its new greenfield coil center being constructed in Blytheville, Ark.

The unit will be able to convert 72-in.-wide bare and coated carbon steel, aluminum alloy, and stainless coil in gauges to 0.135 in. into flat sheet products and precise-tolerance blanks. The line will include a CNC cassette-style leveler, flat passline servo-driven flying shear, PVC and interleaved paper laminators, precision slitter, product quality inspection station, hands-off defective part reject station, automatic skid injector, and machine safety permissives and safety apparatus.

The facility also will house a new 72- by 0.250-/0.015-in. Braner/Loopco Turret Head™ slitting line and an automatic slit coil packaging line.
