AAM and Drexler partner to provide electronic differential

Detroit-based American Axle & Mfg. Inc. and Drexler Automotive GmbH, a manufacturer of high-performance limited slip differentials, racing transmissions, drive shafts, and wheel hub systems, have entered into an agreement to expand their relationship, integrating electromechanical limited slip differentials (eLSD) into the AAM TracRite family of differential products.

The power-dense, four-pinion differential design supports axle modularity with open and eLSDs in the smallest packaging space. The TracRite eLSD will go into production later in 2018.

AAM is a designer and manufacturer of driveline, metal forming, powertrain, and casting technologies for automotive, commercial, and industrial markets.
