AIMS to present Metrology Forum Oct. 2-3

AIMS Metrology, a manufacturer of 5-axis CMMs, will hold a Metrology Forum at its Dayton, Ohio, production facility Oct. 2-3, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The event will feature guest speakers from Honda and Renishaw, and visitors will see the technology behind the company’s Revolution series 5-axis LM and HB CMMs.

Visitors are encouraged to bring a part for inspection evaluation, so that company representatives can help them determine whether they need a lab-grade or mobile 5-axis CMM and select the most appropriate probe head.

Dan Sokolow, engineering coordinator for Honda Transmissions Mfg., will address visitors Oct. 2. He’ll talk about the cost analysis and ROI behind replacing custom gauging with the HB mobile 5-axis CMM and its potential for automation. On Oct. 3 Renishaw’s Chief Industrial Metrologist Ken Bergler will focus his discussion on REVO 2 5-axis scanning and demonstrate SFP2’s 6-axis capabilities, along with other advances in probe heads.
