AZZ Inc. acquires assets of Alpha Galvanizing

AZZ Inc., Fort Worth, Texas, a provider of galvanizing services, welding systems, specialty electrical equipment, and highly engineered services to the power-generation, transmission, distribution, and industrial markets, has acquired the assets of Alpha Galvanizing Inc., an Atkinson, Neb.-based business unit of Olson Industries Inc.

The newly acquired plant is located on a 12-acre site with a 19,500-sq.-ft. operating facility with a 46 by 6 by 8 ft. kettle. Alpha Galvanizing serves steel fabrication customers in the Nebraska market and supports Olson Industries’ internal galvanizing demand.

The plant now operates as AZZ Galvanizing–Nebraska. With this acquisition, AZZ’s network of hot-dip galvanizing plants includes 43 sites in the U.S. and Canada.
