Brandt to add manufacturing capacity in Illinois

The Brandt Group of Companies, Regina, Sask., has announced an expansion into the U.S. market with the acquisition of a 200,000-sq.-ft. manufacturing plant and equipment from Kongskilde Industries A/S in Bloomington-Normal, Ill.

This acquisition is the company’s first manufacturing venture in the U.S.

The plant, previously used to manufacture agricultural equipment, is equipped with tooling and a powder coat paint line. The company will use it to produce agricultural equipment for the U.S. corn and soybean markets.
