California sheet metal apprentice training center completes $11 million expansion

Sheet Metal Workers Local 104 and the Bay Area Sheet Metal Air Conditioning Contractors National Association (SMACNA) have completed an $11 million expansion of their Sheet Metal Apprenticeship Training Center in Fairfield, Calif.

The expansion of the 43,000-sq.-ft. facility includes the addition of three training labs; classrooms; and increased capabilities for testing, balancing, and welding. It can accommodate about 300 students.
