Chapco marks 60th anniversary with open house Oct. 11

Chester, Conn.-based Chapco Inc. is celebrating its 60th year in business with an open house on Oct. 11 from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Visitors can explore the facility, see product demonstrations, and enjoy Oktoberfest refreshments.

Founded in the mid-1960s as a small machine shop by Charlie Hurd and Al Pross, the company is currently led by Brian Weinstein, president. With 80 employees, it occupies 70,000 sq. ft. of advanced manufacturing space and offers metal fabrication and contract manufacturing services.

“We've always believed in investing in the best technologies and running 24/7, with multiple lights-out work centers,” Weinstein said. “Our recent $1 investment in a TRUMPF Trumatic 6000 fiber laser punch combo is a testament to our commitment to meeting tight deadlines and helping to ensure the resilience of U.S. supply chains, even during this difficult labor market.”
