Chromalloy to provide F108 gas turbine engine module repairs for Air Force

Chromalloy, a supplier of repairs, coatings, investment castings, and services for turbine airfoils and other engine components based in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., has been selected by the U.S. Air Force to provide repairs on low-pressure turbine modules for the F108 aircraft engine fleet.

The one-year agreement, contracted by the Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma, includes four one-year options for additional repairs.

The contract, valued at up to $74 million, covers overhaul of the low-pressure turbine shaft assembly, Module 14, during scheduled maintenance events of the F108 engines. Work will be performed at facilities within Chromalloy's service network.
