Columbia Industries to move manufacturing operations to Mississippi

Columbia Industries LLC has announced plans to move its manufacturing operations from Hillsboro, Ore., to Starkville, Miss. The $9.549 million project is expected to create 62 jobs.

The company offers custom design and fabrication of oilfield equipment (such as rig walking systems, fast-moving and self-propelled wheeled systems, module and camp trailers, pipe handling equipment, and hydraulic power units) and solid-waste equipment (landfill tippers, fixed installation tippers, customized support tippers, and truck dumpers).

Production is expected to begin in September.
