Compressed Gas Association names president/CEO

Richard Gottwald

The Compressed Gas Association (CGA) board of directors, has named Richard Gottwald as president/CEO. He succeeds Michael Tiller, who retired this year.

Before joining the Chantilly, Va.-based organization, Gottwald served as president/CEO of the Association of Pool and Spa Professionals. He has held senior management positions in several trade associations, including executive vice president for the International Sign Association and the Association of Medical Instrumentation, president of the Plastics Pipe Institute, and executive director of the Society of the Plastics Industry.

Gottwald holds a bachelor’s degree in plastics engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell and is a Certified Association Executive (CAE).
