CVD Equipment to expand in New York

CVD Equipment Corp. has entered into a contract to purchase a 180,000-sq.-ft. facility in Central Islip, N.Y., to serve as headquarters for its CVD Materials Corp. subsidiary. The building, near the company’s existing headquarters, will provide the manufacturing, engineering, process development, and administration for the firm’s product lines.

Until full capacity is needed, the company plans to enter into subleasing agreements with third parties for about half the facility.

CVD Equipment Corp. designs, develops, and manufactures a variety of chemical vapor deposition and gas control equipment used to develop and manufacture materials and coatings for research and industrial applications.
