Epicor acquires docSTAR

Epicor Software Corp., a provider of industry-specific enterprise software in Austin, Texas, has announced its acquisition of docSTAR, a privately held developer of document management software based in Schenectady, N.Y.

The acquisition brings docSTAR collaborative, cloud-based enterprise content management and automated accounts payable systems to the Epicor ERP systems portfolio.

Tom Franceski, former president/CEO of docSTAR, leads the document management business at Epicor as general manager.
