ESAB wins Industrie Lyon 2017 Award for online data management software

ESAB France SA has won the Innovation Award in the Digital Tools category at Industrie Lyon 2017 for its WeldCloud™ online data management system. The system includes a communication module connected to welding power sources that sends welding parameters and machine data to a server or a PC. On any device with a web browser, the user can retrieve analytical tools and customizable dashboards.

The core of the system is a comprehensive database containing key information about every weld seam, which facilitates traceability from single welds to the complete product. Weld schedules can be developed on a single machine, moved into the cloud, and pushed out to other welding systems. The user can manage welding parameters remotely, set limits, and set alarms for deviations.

Data can be shared and analyzed by teams across multiple data-collection sites using any computer, tablet, or smartphone connected to the same internal network as the welding systems and database.
