FMA selects speakers for reformatted coil processing workshop, tours

Elgin, Ill.-based Fabricators & Manufacturers Association Intl. (FMA) has selected nine speakers to present at its 2018 Coil Processing Workshop & Tours, which has been reformatted to feature small-group breakout sessions that allow for more attendee interaction with the presenters. The event will take place May 15-16 in Florence, Ind.

The speakers are Steven Baker, Athader SL; Jay Finn, LaserCoil Technologies LLC; Dallas Goodloe, Dienes Corp.; Hallis Juster, Juster Industrial Solutions; Dean Linders, Red Bud Industries; Cesar Martin, SES Salico; Alexander Niessen, Schnutz GmbH; Pete Swenson, Fagor Arrasate; and Al Zelt, AKSO Inc.

Topics will include slitting new AHSS materials; laser blanking in the new era; cutting high-volume and flexible straight and trapezoidal blanks; and the theoretical principles of leveling. The workshop also includes multiple networking opportunities, a small tabletop exhibition, and tours of Steel Technologies LLC and Nucor Corp.
