General Carbide celebrates 50 years in business

General Carbide Corp., Greensburg, Pa., a vertically integrated manufacturer of finished tooling for industrial wear and metal forming applications, recently marked a half-century in business with a picnic and carnival for employees and their families, customers, and suppliers.

Premo Pappafava founded the business in 1967 as a manufacturer of unfinished carbide tooling. Today his daughter Mona Pappafava-Ray serves as president/CEO.
