- Shop Management
Machine tool builder Haas Automation Inc. will host an open house at its Oxnard, Calif., headquarters and manufacturing facility. Scheduled for Oct. 10-13 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., HaasTec 2017 will include machine demos, factory tours, and a catered lunch. HaasTec 2015 drew nearly 3,300 attendees from 48 countries, and this year’s event is expected to be even bigger.
Twenty machines will be on display, including the UMC-1000 universal machining center, the CL-1 compact lathe, and the re-engineered EC-400 HMC. Tours of the 1 million-sq.-ft. facility will explore areas above and on the production floor. In addition, more than 36 manufacturers will be exhibiting their tooling, workholding, and CAD/CAM products.
Also on display will be one of Haas F1 Team’s race cars from its 2016 FIA Formula One World Championship debut, and Stewart-Haas Racing’s No. 41 Haas Automation Chevrolet that was driven to victory by Kurt Busch in the NASCAR Cup Series.
