Heco acquires Alran to open Detroit-area service center

Heco Inc., a company that offers sales, repair, and management of electric motors and equipment for industrial plants, has acquired Alran LLC of Redford Township, Mich.

Alran, a provider of electric motor repair and rewinding services for industrial clients with a focus on motors up to 500 HP, now operates as Heco’s Metro Detroit Service Center. It joins two other Heco service centers in Kalamazoo, Mich., and Lexington, Ky.

Randy Altman, co-founder and president of Alran, now serves as operations manager for Heco in the Redford Township location. All other Alran employees are retaining their positions within Heco.
