Heidenhain earns World Class Quality ranking

Schaumburg, Ill.-based Heidenhain Corp., a provider of linear and angle encoder products, has received the World Class Quality ranking from Fives Giddings & Lewis, a supplier of machines, process equipment, and production lines for the aluminum, steel, automotive, aerospace, and energy sectors.

Twice a year, Fives Giddings & Lewis evaluates its external providers for process sigma (deviation from perfection), cost of poor quality, and nonconformance report days outstanding. Heidenhain received the highest marks in all three categories.
