IMCO Software CEO to present FABTECH workshop

Ruben Mirensky

Ruben Mirensky, CEO of Chicago-based IMCO Software, is presenting the workshop “Using Industry 4.0 Technology for Scheduling, Traceability, and Inventory Management” Monday, Nov. 6, 2:45 to 3:30 p.m. at FABTECH® 2017.

The workshop will focus on how to increase profits and productivity in today’s competitive manufacturing environment using Industry 4.0 technology. It will explore how the four design principles of Industry 4.0—interoperability, information transparency, technical assistance, and decentralized decisions—can help manufacturing companies increase profitability by implementing a state-of-the-art scheduling process, providing traceability, and reducing working capital tied up in inventory.

The workshop will include a demonstration of the interoperability of sensors implanted in machines with inputs from operators and schedulers and show how the resulting combination provides a real-time picture of what is happening on the shop floor. It also will explore how the data collected can be translated to actions that will increase uptime, reduce scrap, and prevent scheduling conflicts. Finally, the workshop will show how that information can guide the actions of the corresponding departments without the need for intervention from a particular person or controlling department.

Mirensky has more than 30 years of experience as a supply chain expert. He holds an MBA degree, serves on the FMA Software Advisory Council, and is a CPIM member and vice president of APICS Southeast Chapter. He has been involved in supply chain consulting projects worldwide.

Workshop attendees will be entered into a drawing to receive a complimentary mini shop floor ROI analysis.
