Inductoheat director of science and technology receives two heat-treating awards

Madison Heights, Mich.-based Inductoheat Inc., an Inductotherm Group Company, has announced that Dr. Valery Rudnev, director of science and technology, has received two awards for his contributions in the field of induction heating and heat treating.

Rudnev was elected as a Fellow to The International Federation for Heat Treatment and Surface Engineering (IFHTSE) in recognition of his outstanding, globally recognized, and significant contributions to the development of heat treatment and surface engineering and “for his preeminence in induction heat treating and modeling of the induction heat treating process,” according to the citation.

He also was presented with the ASM Intl. Best Paper in Heat Treating Award for co-authoring the article “Revolution–Not Evolution–Necessary to Advance Induction Heat Treating,” published in the September 2017 issue of Advanced Materials & Processes magazine.
