Iowa Spring acquires Northeast Spring

Iowa Spring, a supplier of precision-made springs for the overhead door, construction, agriculture, and recreational equipment industries in Adel, Iowa, has acquired Northeast Spring.

Northeast Spring is a family-owned and -operated supplier of custom-made springs based in Reading, Pa., with a manufacturing facility in Villa Rica, Ga. The company name and management team remain intact, and founder John O'Leary will remain onboard for the next three years to help ensure a smooth transition.

Iowa Spring President/CEO Tim Bianco oversees operations of Northeast Spring in addition to the original Iowa Spring facility, its recent 55,000-sq.-ft. expansion facility, and its sister company Southern Atlantic Spring of Granite Quarry, N.C.
