Kaufman Trailers to open manufacturing facility in Wisconsin

North Carolina-based Kaufman Trailers has announced plans to open a facility in Footville, Wis., in September 2017.

The 29,800-sq.-ft., $1.5 million facility will manufacture several types of trailers, including flatbed, gooseneck, and utility. Trailer parts from North Carolina, South Carolina, and Nebraska will be brought to the Footville facility for final assembly, and trailers will be distributed directly from the factory.

The company will spend an additional $300,000 to construct a sales office that will feature a showroom where the public can browse and buy trailers.

Construction will begin in September and last about a year.
