LAI Intl. completes acquisition of R&M Mfg.

LAI Intl., a hard metals precision machining supplier in Westminster, Md., has completed the acquisition of R&M Mfg. Inc., Taneytown, Md.

The R&M facility and staff will remain at its current Taneytown location, but business functions will be moved to LAI headquarters. Dominic Monteil, president of R&M, joins LAI as general manager with more than 35 years of manufacturing experience.

The combined companies’ manufacturing capabilities include waterjet, laser cutting, 3- and 5-axis CNC machining, Swiss lathes, EDM, precision sheet metal fabrication, precision manufacturing, certified welding, and assembly and finishing.
