LAI Intl. expands in Arizona

LAI Intl. Inc., a provider of highly engineered components for industries including aerospace, defense, energy, industrial, and medical, is expanding its operations with a new, 39,000-sq.-ft. factory in Tempe, Ariz. When construction is complete, the factory will house a next-generation engine program for the commercial aerospace industry.

The company has hired 16 new employees, who are being trained at its plant in Maine. The firm expects the expansion to create more than 60 jobs.
