Miele to build plant in Alabama

Germany-based Miele has announced that its first U.S. plant will be built in Opelika, Ala. Production is scheduled to start by the end of 2024. In the first phase, the plant will employ 150 people.

The new site will enable the company to produce home appliances designed for the U.S., Canada, and Mexico close to the respective markets. Later, the matching ventilation hoods also will be produced there.
