Ross Industries to add 24,000 sq. ft. to Virginia headquarters

Ross Industries Inc., a manufacturer of food processing machinery, has announced a $7.5 million expansion of its Virginia production facility. The new 24,000-sq.-ft. building will increase the company’s product assembly capacity for its line of packaging, slicing, chilling/freezing, and tenderizing machinery, creating 24 electrical and mechanical assembly jobs.

The new assembly hall, which will be adjacent to the existing facility, will increase the company’s footprint to more than 100,000 sq. ft. of operations, engineering, and manufacturing space. It also will provide more room for inventory management and warehousing of spare parts.

In addition, the company recently made significant capital investments in a waterjet cutting system, laser press brakes, a robotic welding station, and an automated line for tenderizer blade manufacturing.
