SAF announces new hires, promotion

Jermaine Johnson, Nick Tomei, Stephanie Spiwak, Amelia MacDonald, Brent Highley

SAF, a global metals distributor, fabricator, and finisher, has announced the promotion of a longtime employee, as well as the addition of four new team members to the sales and project management teams.

Jermaine Johnson has been promoted to inside sales representative, based in the company’s Atlanta corporate headquarters. He has more than 10 years of logistics experience and previously served in the company’s shipping and inventory department.

Nick Tomei has been appointed project manager for the perimeter systems division. He has decades of industry experience, including nearly five years as a project manager for another metal supplier and fabricator.

Stephanie Spiwak joins the company as inside sales representative, also based in Atlanta. She previously worked in customer service for a residential window installation company and in inside sales for a technical automation distributor.

Amelia MacDonald has been named to the dual role of administrative assistant and inside sales representative. She will serve as the first point of contact for customer inquiries; manage billing for SAF West; and coordinate shipping, pickup, and delivery services for customers in Northern California.

Brent Highley has been hired as the first internal salesperson for SAF Texas, which opened in September 2021. He gained significant industry experience working for a construction company and also has served in a variety of sales roles.
