Solar Atmospheres of California completes facility expansion

Solar Atmospheres of California (SCA) has completed the expansion of its facility in Fontana, Calif. With the 25,000-sq.-ft. building, the company has doubled its heat-treating capacity on the West Coast.

The company has added four vacuum furnaces from sister company Solar Mfg. in Souderton, Pa., as well as two high-pressure vacuum gas carburizing furnaces, an all-metal hot zone with isolated gas quench system, and a horizontal car-bottom furnace.
