Solar Atmospheres receives Nadcap accreditation for vacuum oil quench furnace

Solar Atmospheres of Western PA, Hermitage, Pa., has received Nadcap accreditation for its new, fully integrated vacuum oil quench furnace. The two-chamber furnace is completely sealed for a cleaner, safer oil-quenching process.

With a maximum load weight of 2,000 lbs., the furnace can quench alloy steels and martensitic stainless steels to stringent aerospace industry standards. Near-net shapes and finished products can be hardened by quenching in oil with minimal risk of surface contamination.
