Starrett to highlight the steps of making a micrometer at Manufacturing Day event

The L.S. Starrett Co. will open its doors again this year to welcome students and schools, state representatives, and the community to participate in its third annual Manufacturing Day on Oct. 4 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at company headquarters in Athol, Mass.

Attendees will be welcomed with a general introduction, including a visit to the new Starrett Manufacturing Training Center, which will include an overview of making a No. 230 outside micrometer and visits to the departments involved in its production.
